Why “They Should Just Know” is Killing Your Love Life ❤️

from a dating coach 💕

Hello beautiful human!

Today I want to tackle a myth that’s quietly sabotaging so many relationships: the belief that “if they loved me, they’d just know.”

Here’s the truth: love doesn’t come with telepathy. Your partner sees the world through their lens, shaped by their history, beliefs, wiring, and logic, not yours. Expecting them to “just know” your needs is a recipe for frustration, resentment, and missed connection.

Here’s what actually works:
1️⃣ Clarity: Speak your desires, boundaries, and needs clearly and openly.
2️⃣ Communication: Sharing your feelings is the only way to create true intimacy and deeper understanding of each other’s needs within a relationship.
3️⃣ Effort: Healthy love requires consistent effort. Both partners must learn each other’s love languages. Waiting for them to guess sets everyone up to fail.

When you move from hope to clarity, intimacy becomes real, and relationships start thriving.

If this resonates, I’ve got even more juicy insights waiting for you! I recorded a podcast episode for my show With Love, Monica, where I talk to acclaimed dating coach - Caitlin Smith0 - about what other necessary qualities you need to look for to nurture long-term partnership. Here is the video link for you to watch the full episode:
